| This is a very nice, hardback Bible. The font is very easy to read. | | | | One of my favorite Bibles Feb 6, 2007 |
| When I decided to get this inexpensive hardcover volume to replace an old and by then tattered NASB (the version I use most of the time when reading commentaries), I did not expect it will become one of my preferred Bibles. After all, I own several different versions, some of them beautifully crafted, others having excellent study aids. But this one's handy size, neat layout, very legible fonts (on the small side, but sharply defined) and, most of all, the extensive center-column references and alternative readings, immediately won me over. (There is also a 60-page concordance. I don't often use concordances, but others will value this feature.) I am now likely to reach out for it at anytime, not just when reading commentaries. As for the NASB translation itself, I will not join the debate on its merits, except that I've always liked it, especially for study purposes, even before the 1995 update. | | | | Classic Reference Bible NASB Jan 18, 2007 |
| I was very pleased with this Bible. I gave it to my daughter-in-law and she was very satisfied with it. | | | | Classic Reference Bible, Updated NASB Jan 9, 2007 |
| This is just a good all around Bible for the beginner. | | | | A terrific Bible for reading, portability and durability. May 18, 2006 |
| This is an absolutely terrific Bible. If someone wants to critique the updated NASB translation, that is their prerogative, but to do it under a review for this particular Bible is arbitrary and has needlessly lowered the rating on this fabulous product. I find the translation is readable, the references are helpful, the maps and charts are well thought out and simply put, this Bible has everything of which most readers would normally want to refer in their study, while not incorporating so much information that while nothing would ever be of want, the reader would be lugging around a 4 pound Bible to church and Wednesday night Bible study. While the Bible's style is somewhat understated from it's simple black leather cover and it is smaller than some others, it has fantastic touches of elegance from it's superior quality top grain cover, to it's portability due to it's size and the type is easy to read. I even like the simple gold line around the edge of the inside cover. All together, this Bible is of excellent quality and is tastefully put together. I will treasure this Bible for probably 30 years and would readily give it as a gift to anyone who doesn't require a giant or large type print due to any visual limitations. As far as some posted concerns about durability, since it comes with a top grain leather cover, it has a lifetime warranty. | | | Write your own review about NASB Classic Reference Bible-Black Top Grain
