| This is an excellent book, one that I would highly recommend as an introduction to Rivers' novels. It tells the stories of 5 Christian women who truly did change the course of Bible history. Favorites were the story of Ruth, Bathsheba and of course, Mary. Each story is short, easily readable and includes a study guide afterwards. All the women were strong and stood up for their faith, really inspiring to read about. | I love reading Francine River's books!! In Lineage of Grace she tells the stories of Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. I noticed that she usually sticks pretty close to the scriptures used so that she basically follows the story through but of course adds so many elements to the stories that are left to your imagination. What I really enjoyed about this book is that you really are reminded that God uses people in an extrodinary way to accomplish His purpose. At the end of each story there is a series of short devotionals called "Seek and Find" which include scripture passages (Holy Bible, new living translation) and questions to think about. | I was already familiar with all these woman's stories from the bible. Francine Rivers did add some new perspective and detail I had not thought of.
