| Like all truths, Dr Betty's book is right on time to help expose a dirty not-so-secret behavior in the christian church. How long will we let the world influence the behavior of the church? How long will we let the world pervert the purpose of the church? This practice has been going on for a long, long time, probably from before when Jesus walked the earth. It has to stop somewhere. | Best book on the topic to date, I immediately preordered it! Unfortunately for the Christian church and the 'world' that we are modeling Christ to, this book had to be written. I knew based on the author and the topic that it would answer questions that I too have pondered, in my mind, as to why women put up with and/or participate in such relational mediocrity. The book references the Bible's position on issues of marital conduct regardless of one's feelings, rather based on God's principles. Unless a person is taught that God is a God of principles, based upon the bible, people will and do give into their emotions (Dr. Betty's book has a chapter on Spiritual Prostitution). It stands to reason that a minister/preacher/pastor would be astute in these very principles; thereby, never violating them (as Betty and her spouse have shown all of us through their own lives and the final excerpt in the book where Dr.Claiborne tells people how to be 'free' from this emotional trap that Mrs. Evans discusses in the book. Three great teachers in one book, wow). This is not to so that this is neither easy nor popular. But, living for God and not man is not! So, way to go Dr. Betty R. Price once again your ministry has taken the 'church' of Christ to another level of 'being without spot or wrinkle'. | Dr. Betty's book sheds light on an age old problem that has been prevalent for centuries throughout churches world wide. She biblically shares the why, how and what to do points if you find yourself in this situation. Whether you are the Minister, the wife or the mistress you will be able to find your answer here. In easy to understand language she explains how this has been and is destroying the church and how to fix it. True to life examples are used to get the point across which in itself is an incentive not to travel down this road. All pastors, teachers, evangelists, pastors and teachers need to read it, as well as the congregations of the world. Its an excellent book which can be read in one sitting. | This book is a real eye opener. It exposes the fact that men and women today are enduring and allowing this to happen in thier lives. It's truly sad how men or women don't realize how the affects of an affair tears up the family. The end of the story is always the same. They almost never leave the wife in most cases. And when they do and children are involved the man never has the same anointing on him and both families are miserable. My heart goes toward the children, we as adults are to represent the Lord in the earth, so the children grow up thinking God is not real. Lots of children carry emotional scares so deep deep it affects their relationships as they become involved. It's ugly, ugly, ugly! Thank God Dr. Betty wrote the book it's time to expose the works of darkness that has been so prevelent in the church all these years. Thank you Dr. Betty, Thank you!
