Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Fast-paced and exciting read May 15, 2006 |
| I really enjoyed this book -- reading it in 2 days. The message is worthwhile, and the plot moves along quickly. | | | | Winds of Evil Review Aug 4, 2005 |
| I thought that Winds of Evil was really good. I liked the characters, they were interesting and all of them had some type of a dark past. I really enjoyed the plot, as well. It was a little scary thinking about demons really trying to take over the world, or even just a little town like Eden. But I like that this is a strong book of faith, and that the author shows that. No matter what happens, we must always trust in God. I give the book a three, because I like the characters and plot, though there are some parts that still confuse me. | | | | No surprises here May 14, 2005 |
| Everything in the book is flat and over used. Characters lack any dimesion and are very predictable. Katherine returns to Eden after her aunt's unexpected death. She finds something evil had taken root in Eden. She accepts this very easily for someone that has "drifted" in her walk with God. Of course, you have your steadfast pastor, Enoch Jones. He remains faithful in situations that would send most quaking, where does his deep faith come from??? Only the author knows and she isn't telling. The bad people are bad and the good people are good. The story offers no twist or unexpected "gottcha's". Even the development of the romance between Katherine and her old college beau is flat. | | | | Suspenseful and page-turning Feb 21, 2005 |
Sharon Gilbert does an incredible job in developing this action-packed series (The Laodicea Chronicles) in book 1 'The Winds of Evil'. Like best-selling authors Frank Peretti or Stephen King, Sharon Gilbert unfolds this story in tangibly vivid detail.
