Item Description... Artist Deborah Schenck finds inspiration for her photographs while taking countryside walks and exploring antique shops near her home in Vermont. Originally from England, where she worked as a professional photographer with a passion for historical photographs, she was drawn several years ago to the old print look of Polaroid transfers, a process by which a photographic image is transferred to watercolor paper rather than photographic paper. Her images, which she further enhances with paints, capture the simple and subdued beauty of flowers, seashells, and antique objects, and are among Chronicle Books' best-selling notecards. The Deborah Schenck line is a tribute to the delicate colors, nostalgic imagery, and the textured look and feel of handmade objects that Deborah strives for in her photographs.

 | Blossoms Deluxe Notecards Mar 18, 2006 |
| These notecards are beautiful and can be used as thank you notes, condolence cards, or for just about any situation. | | | | BORING! Oct 22, 2003 |
| I had the impression the images and the process were unique and creative. In fact, the transferred photos are very very ordinary. In contrast, I also got China Blossoms notecards by Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. They are incredible! Imagine the best of the impressionists painting blossoms oriental-style. The photos available at this site do not do justice to the quality of the artwork. | | | | Blossoms Note Cards by Deborah Schenck Jul 26, 2000 |
| This lovely selection of notecards became my favorite the first time I saw it. Deborah Schenck, the photographer, has used a process called Polaroid transfer to parchment paper to produce an elegant, antique-looking image that reminds me of delicate watercolor florals. I have adopted these cards as my personal cards. I don't have to look for cards for birthdays, Mother's Day, weddings or condolences because I have my BLOSSOMS. This selection comes in a set of 20 cards and envelopes. There are five images, four cards of each. The five images are poppies, iris, roses, tulips, and calla lilies. Last year I sent one of the calla lily cards, with a present, to a friend. She wrote me that she loved the card and was planning to have it framed. This year I'm sending her a box of the cards as her gift! | | | Write your own review about Deborah Schenck Blossoms Notecards (Deluxe Notecards)
